My piece revolves around the parasite being a metaphor for toxic relationships and the darker aspects of human nature. The host embodies the victim and suffers under the parasite's presence. In this piece I want to explore the theme of the parasitism as a one-sided relationship where the parasite benefits at the host's expense. Paralleling the power imbalances between toxic relationship and showcasing the negative aspects of human connection.
